Don’t just fuel your business, but ignite your faith journey! [3 tips to do just that!]

Entrepreneurship gives way to inner joy and a desire to chase after the passion that burns deep within while sharing that love and service with others. It’s because of these feelings, you desire to have an amazing influence and impact on the world.  But when you come from underneath the surface level glitz of it all and the hustle that comes with being an entrepreneur, you may find yourself overwhelmed, frustrated, and many times depleted.

I know for a fact that God has called many of us to be women of influence and not just to provide our gifts and talents to the world, but also to reveal His love and light through our wonderful works and our time here on Earth.  God wants to ignite a generation that will no longer separate Him, but infuse Him in every aspect of our lives –  home, community, and business.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably spent a lot of time diving into all kinds of business advice, guides, webinars, books, etc.  That’s all part of growing a business, the need to constantly learn and implement.  However, in those times, there was a disconnect felt between what I was chasing and what God wanted for me.

So I took a moment and asked, What if we applied that same hustle we put into our business into our faith journeys?  What if we actually sought Him first and all His righteousness and allowed Him to do the adding?  What if we chased after faith in our core and His fire in our hearts? Don’t question it any longer, use these 3 tips to fuel your faith journey for a better you and business.

1 |  Stop the Content Overload and Dive in the Word

It’s pretty tough trying to juggle all the aspects of running your business and many times you may find yourself becoming overwhelmed with all the content that is readily available.  Everything seems urgent or a “must do”.  Instead of filling your schedule with more things to digest, make room to dive into the word of God.  Psalm 34:8 states, “taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”  Allow God’s words to enlighten your heart, to reveal more about His love and promises for you, and to help you grow as a woman of faith.  Overload yourself on His goodness and watch Him overflow in your life.

2 | Unplug and Be Still

Being connected is essential these days to being an entrepreneur and it helps to connect and engage with your target audience.  However, this constant drive to be everywhere at all times keeps you bounded by people, time, opportunities, etc.

God wants us to enjoy His blessings but He also wants us to unplug and to create margin to be in His presence – to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10).  Unplugging from the business chaos will allow you to plug into God, the source of everything.  He will refuel your spirit, refresh your mind, and refocus your heart on what’s important to Him.

3 | Celebrate and Pour into Others

So what’s the point of running your business if you’re spending too much time focusing on yourself and your goals?  Before you know it, you’ve lost your “why” and your passion.  Your purpose for your business should be far greater than the accomplishments you’re seeking, the financial goal you have in mind, or the awesome collaboration you are after.

Be intentional in making time to love, support, and pray for ways that you could use your faith journey and business to celebrate others. When you pour into others, others will pour back into you!  “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

I’ve made it a goal of mine to pour into the hearts of women through the Faith Fuel Box, a bi-monthly encouraging box filled with Christian and inspirational handmade goodies and surprises.  I’m all about meeting women right where they are in their faith journeys, at their doorsteps providing glimpses of God’s truth, love, and encouragement.

That fuel and fire that you’re after, it’s right there in your reach.  God wants you to experience the more you know you can have in your life and business.  However, He wants you FIRST.  “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).  That’s truth my friend!  When we ignite our faith journeys fully chasing after God and His best, we will experience something amazing and much greater than us.

Here’s to fueling your faith journey one step at a time,
